Every 68 seconds, someone in the United States is sexually assaulted. For many victims, that person is a child—and the trauma can last a lifetime. While most of these crimes go unreported, research from the University of New Hampshire’s Crimes Against Children Research Center shows that 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 20 boys is sexually abused. These aren’t just numbers—they represent real lives, real pain, and a real crisis.
Yet in the face of these horrifying realities, an organization called NARSOL (National Association for Rational Sexual Offense Laws) is fighting to eliminate sex offender registries, weaken penalties for sexual crimes, and normalize adult-child sexual behavior under the guise of
“reform.” We believe these efforts are dangerous and deeply irresponsible.
At ExposingNARSOL.org, we are a group of concerned citizens—some of us survivors ourselves—who have come together to shine a light on NARSOL’s true agenda. We oppose pedophilia and reject any movement that seeks to blur the moral and legal lines that protect children from sexual abuse.
Contrary to NARSOL’s claims, stranger assaults are not “rare”—a 2003 study by the National Institute of Justice found that over 23% of sexual assaults are committed by strangers. And the recidivism rate for child molesters stands at 24%, far higher than groups like NARSOL wants the public to believe.
Children are already under daily assault from sexualized media and online predators. Now is not the time to weaken our defenses.
This website exposes who runs NARSOL, what they advocate, where their funding comes from, and what the media and public should know about their activities. We also provide vital resources—state sex offender registries, support for survivors, and ways to report abuse.
If you have information about a sexual crime, please contact your local police department immediately. Together, we can protect our communities, support survivors, and push back against efforts to erase accountability for sexual predators.
